Tastings
Drop-in tastings are available at the front counter in our retail store.
Guests to Shelter Point are welcome to join us for a $10 tasting.
Each tasting includes a sample of three, Shelter Point spirits of your choosing – with options including our selection of Whiskies, Sunshine Liqueur and Hand Foraged Botanical Gin.
- The $10 tasting fee can be applied to the purchase of any 750 ml bottle of whisky
- Tastings are available 12pm to 5:30pm every day.
- Our tasting bar seats of 6 people at time, please call ahead for larger groups.
Distillery Tours
We offer two different tour options:
Distillery Tour
We will guide you through the Shelter Point process taking you through mashing, fermenting, distilling, barreling and then finishing off with the bottling. We then will finish the tour off with a tasting with each person getting their choice of 3 samples of the Shelter Point Spirits, which include the Shelter Point Whiskies, Sunshine Liqueur and Hand Foraged Botanical Gin.
Cocktail Tour
Join us for a tour where we take you through the process of how we make our spirits as well as how they can be used in cocktails. Enjoy sampling 3 different cocktails, learning about why the flavours go well together and how the cocktails came to be.
Enjoy a dram or cocktail and some light fare.
Our lounge space is now open for you to enjoy a cocktail or a dram. Come for a drink or stay for a little longer after a tour or a tasting, we are able to offer a dram of our full range of whiskies or select from one of our cocktails, accompany it with a plate of charcuterie and local cheeses.
Events at Shelter Point Distillery
Our setting, the Still Room and Fireside Rooms, are wonderfully unique locations. If you are planning an event or gathering they could provide the space to make it something special. If you are interested in holding an event here please email info@shelterpoint.ca.
